THE GAME, I KILLED G.UNIT
In a recent interview with Complex, The Game gave his thoughts on a possible rap battle between 50 Cent and Jay-Z, and about mending his relationship with Eminem.
"50 said recently in an interview that he’ll never work with Game again but that’s all him talking and his ego. I can’t wait to mend the ties with Eminem. Me and Eminem have never been at odds but he had to take 50’s side," said Game.
"It’s just hip-hop and I think that he’s more bitter towards me than anyone else he’s had drama with because look what I did to his brand. I killed G-Unit. I killed the clothes, I killed the brand, I killed Tony Yayo, Banks and Buck at that time."
Game went on to say that he feels that his beef with Fif doesn’t make business sense anymore.
"It’s pure comedy for me at this point. When he says something, I laugh," he explained. "Nobody is going to beat each other’s ass…So we might as well get along. We exist in hip-hop…we’re not f*cking WWE wrestlers, we’re not boxers man, it’s just hip-hop."
50’s latest album Before I Self Destruct’s unexpectedly low first week sales has been the talk of the web, and the Game also took an opportunity to chime in and give his former associate some advice.
"If we said tomorrow Game and 50 are coming out with an album, you know how many motherf*cking antennas would go you? We could still sell a million records just off promoting it alone…I understand that you know he’s got a big ego. I’m just not one with it, I don’t have one. I forgive and I forget and that’s life. One day you’re alive and the next day you die."
Game’s upcoming album, The R.E.D Album, is due in stores in February 2010 via Interscope, and will feature collaborations with Rick Ross, Beanie Sigel, Young Jeezy and others.
